Hit my 500th straight razor shave yesterday and it felt way bigger than I expected

I started keeping count on a random Tuesday two years ago and now I'm wondering if anyone else tracks their numbers or just flies by feel.

Did your buddy mark actual shave quality on that calendar or just count days?

Did your friend keep any kind of log or did he just wing it? One buddy of mine used to mark his shave days on a paper calendar tacked to his bathroom wall, and he said crossing off each one gave him a weird sense of pride. He lost count after a move but still shaves every morning without thinking about it.
