My from-scratch cookies were a total flop at the family reunion.
I wanted to impress my relatives with homemade cookies. I added too much salt by mistake and they tasted awful. My cousin tried one and made a face that had everyone laughing. I learned that simple bakes are better for big groups. Now I stick to easy recipes that never fail.

But what if the issue wasn't that from-scratch recipes are too hard for groups? I mean, salt mistakes can happen to anyone, right? Maybe next time you could measure the salt into a small bowl first before adding it, so you don't lose track. I've seen people use little cups for each part to avoid mix-ups. With a bit of practice, those fancy cookies might turn out great even for a crowd. It's all about getting the steps down, not just picking easy stuff.

Ugh, been there with the salt thing. It's so easy to lose track in a busy kitchen. Solid tip about the little bowls though.
