The subway map with the fake river won me over, then I saw the real one
Pulled up two maps of the Boston area last week to plan a bike route. One had this stylized river that curved way too smooth, looked nice on screen but put the Charles in the wrong spot by a mile. The other was a plain GIS export from the city's site, ugly but accurate. My detour through Cambridge took 20 minutes longer than the fancy map promised. Anyone else trust the boring version over the pretty one after getting burned?
