The librarian in Billings pointed at the compass rose on a 1962 gas station map and asked why north was pointing at the snack aisle
She pulled out a ruler and showed me the whole state was tilted about 15 degrees off, and I have been checking every fold-out map since. What is the dumbest compass rose you all have run into on a map that otherwise looked fine?

Check the legend before you trust any rose, half the time they stuck it on crooked just to fill empty space in the corner. My rule is fold the map along the rose line and see if it lines up with the border, sounds dumb but it catches the tilted ones fast lol.
