Found a map of my town from 1987 that labeled a random drainage ditch as 'Lake Singh'

I was cleaning out my grandpa's garage and found this old tourist map that just scribbled 'Lake Singh' over a storm drain near the mall. Tried using it to navigate to a friend's house and ended up in a retention pond parking lot. Has anyone else found a map that just made up fake landmarks for fun?

Wait, are you sure that was a storm drain and not part of the drainage system for that whole area? I grew up near a mall with a similar setup and we always called it "the pond" but it was actually a manmade retention basin that just held overflow water after heavy rain. Old maps sometimes labeled those as lakes for decorative purposes even though they were basically glorified puddles.

Oh absolutely @tyler368, we had one of those behind our old shopping center too and nobody ever admitted it was just a drainage ditch.
