Tried to draw a cat at 2am and it looks like a potato with ears

I was half asleep last night and decided to sketch my cat Mittens just to see if I could still draw after a long day painting trim. The tail came out looking like a broken snake and the eyes are two different sizes by a mile. I kept trying to fix the nose and ended up making the whole face look like a wrinkled sock. Not my proudest moment but honestly it's pretty funny to look at this morning. Anyone else wake up to find weird art they don't remember making?

Man, that's the 2am curse. I swear every bad decision I've ever made happened between midnight and 4am. It's like your brain just taps out and your hands get a mind of their own.

@angela_park nailed that curse thing. What worked for me was setting a hard rule. No phone in bed after midnight. Period. Charger goes in the kitchen. Keeps me from doomscrolling and impulse buying stuff I don't need. Also helps to write down whatever stupid idea pops in my head instead of acting on it. Wake up the next morning and half the time I laugh at it. Saved me a lot of regret.
