Just hit sketch #40 in my 2am doodle notebook and only 6 look like actual objects
Started doodling half asleep back in March to quit doomscrolling, and last night I finally filled page 40 with a cat that looks more like a burnt potato. Anybody else keep a tally of how many of these midnight scribbles turn out semi decent, or is it just me hoping one day the pile of ugly ones pays off?

Ever see those before and after drawing videos where the first one looks like a sad blob? My buddy did that for a year straight, kept every bad sketch in a shoebox, and around month ten he flipped through and noticed his hands had just figured things out without him noticing. The ugly pile is the whole point, you just can't see it while you're buried in it.
