Picked the Sawatch Range loop over the Collegiate Peaks section last month

I had to choose between a 5 day loop in the Sawatch or a 6 day point-to-point on the Collegiate West. I went with the Sawatch for the easier logistics and the views from Mount Massive were worth every step. Anyone have a favorite resupply spot near Twin Lakes?

Good call on the logistics, that point-to-point shuttle is a pain. For resupply, the general store in Twin Lakes village is the spot. They have a decent hiker box and you can mail a box to yourself there, just call ahead. The cafe next door makes a solid burger for a town meal before you head back out.

You had me at solid burger, that's the real resupply strategy. My last mail drop box was just candy and instant coffee, which says a lot about my planning skills. I probably spent more time dreaming about that cafe burger than actually packing good food. The hiker box is my safety net for when my snack-only plan falls apart. Always good to know a place lets you call ahead, my last surprise box showed up a week after I did.
