Dropped $350 on a 20 degree quilt before the Winds, and it was the best sleep I've ever had on trail
Used to haul a 4 pound synthetic bag that soaked through by day two, but this thing weighs under 2 pounds and kept me warm at 11,000 feet in September. Anyone else make the switch to down, or do you still swear by synthetics?
Same thing happens with boots and running shoes. You pay more once and your body thanks you for years. Cheap gear ends up costing you more in the long run.
