Can we talk about the log bridge washout on the Eagle Rock loop near the Buffalo River?
I hiked the 8 mile section past the old timber bridge last weekend and the whole middle span is gone, just two cables hanging over a 6 foot drop. The park service sign is still bolted to a tree like nothing happened, so you don't see it until you're right on top of it. Anyone know a detour that keeps you off the road walk, or should I just plan to wade the creek at the lower crossing?
