Vent: my brake job on the 2011 Corolla turned into two days because of one rounded bolt
What should have been a 90 minute pad and rotor swap on my driveway turned into a torch and extractor socket rescue after the caliper bracket bolt rounded at 60 ft lbs. Anyone got a trick for catching these before they strip, or do I just soak everything in PB Blaster the night before now?

84 degrees in my buddy's garage and we spent 3 hours on a single lower strut bolt one time. PB Blaster the night before helps but heat and a good six point socket are what really save you. Impact wrench on high just makes the round worse.
