My uncle told me to never trust a rebuilt torque converter from a certain big chain store

He said they just slap new seals on junk cores, and after one failed in my bay last week, I'm convinced. Anyone else have a go-to source for solid rebuilt units?

Yeah, that's a classic bait and switch with some sellers. They call it refurbished but it's just a quick wipe-down. Sanchez.robin is right, that's not a rebuild at all. A real refurb should have parts checked and maybe even replaced. Sounds like you just got a used tablet they didn't even clean properly.
