Am I the only one who deals with customers second-guessing every diagnosis?
A guy came in last week sure his engine tap was just lifters. I told him it was a timing chain guide gone bad. He got a second opinion from a buddy who agreed with me after seeing the scan data. Now he acts like he knew all along. Some people just can't admit they're wrong.
Honestly, it's like some customers have a PhD in armchair mechanics. I've caught myself double-checking my own work after one too many debates. But hey, at least we get good stories out of it.
