Never thought a spray bottle could ruin my whole day until last Tuesday

I was doing a full interior detail on a buddy's 2018 Civic, nothing fancy, just carpets and plastics. I grabbed my usual APC mix and went to hit the dash, but the nozzle was set to stream instead of mist. It shot a thin line of cleaner straight into the vent, and then I watched it pool behind the climate control buttons. Now the screen is flickering and the fan smells like citrus every time I crank it. I've detailed cars for 7 years and never once checked the nozzle setting before spraying. Cost me a $40 replacement panel and two hours of tearing apart the center console. Anyone else ever had a simple sprayer setting wreck a job like that, or am I just the lucky one?

Man, that is brutal. A stream setting is like a laser beam for your interior, Ive had it hit a seam in a door panel and soak the window switch on a customer's truck before. That citrus smell would drive me insane every single day until I fixed it, way worse than the flickering screen honestly. Seven years in and you still get caught by the little stuff, its always the dumb simple things that bite you in the rear.
