I always blew off using dust covers, but one messy sedan changed my mind

I mean, for years I figured dust covers were just extra stuff to deal with, idk. Then I had this old sedan come in for a full respray, and I was sanding the roof without covering the interior. Maybe it's just me, but I assumed it would be fine. Well, dust got everywhere, into the vents and seats, and the customer was not happy. I had to spend hours cleaning it all up, which totally threw off my schedule. Now I always use covers, no question. It's a small step that prevents so much hassle later. I guess sometimes you have to learn from mistakes to see the value in things.
