Hit my 100th bumper replacement today, never expected that number to feel so big
I've been doing body work for about 3 years now, mostly at a small shop in Nashville. This morning I had a customer bring in a 2015 Camry with a busted rear bumper from a parking lot hit. As I was pulling the old one off, I realized it was my 100th bumper replacement. I counted back through my work orders to double check. Something about that round number made me stop and think about all the clips, sensors, and paint matches I've done. I spent the rest of the day wondering how many more I'll do before I retire. Has anyone else kept track of a specific repair count and had it hit you out of nowhere?

Man that's a weird feeling isn't it... hitting those random milestones nobody warns you about. I'm only at like 30 something bumper jobs and already wondering if I'll even remember the number when I hit triple digits.

Wait, is that real? You actually dug back through your work orders to verify it? That's some serious dedication right there. I bet you weren't expecting to get hit with that feeling while pulling a Camry bumper, those things are usually pretty basic jobs. It's wild how a simple number like 100 can make you stop and realize how many hours you've spent lining up clips and making sure the paint is a perfect match. I respect that you took the time to count back, most people would just guess and move on.
