Guy backed his Tahoe into my paint booth door at 3pm and we spent 2 hours making it look like it never happened
So last Thursday around 3pm this guy comes in to pick up his Tahoe, and while backing out he clips the corner of my booth door with his bumper. Takes a chunk of paint off the door frame and leaves a nice scratch down the side of his bumper. He jumps out and starts apologizing like crazy, hands shaking, saying his insurance deductible is $1000 and he can't afford it. I told him to chill, pulled the Tahoe back in the bay, and we wet sanded that bumper scratch out in about 20 minutes with some 1500 grit and polish. The booth door frame was the real problem, that thing is 12 years old and I had to match a paint code I haven't used since 2019. Mixed up a small batch, sprayed it with the door taped off, and you can't even tell where it was. He tried to hand me $200 cash and I told him just bring me a case of water for the shop fridge next time. Anyone else got a booth door that's been hit more times than a punching bag?
