Overheard a guy at the Mudhole Trails say 'just send it' right before his CV joint blew
I was out at Mudhole Trails in Alabama last Saturday and this dude in a lifted Polaris was talking big game about a deep rut. He yelled 'just send it' to his buddy, gunned it, and I heard this nasty crunch like a metal can being stepped on. Turns out his CV joint snapped clean in half and he was stuck for like 2 hours waiting for a tow. I took away that sometimes taking a second to scout a line is way better than just flooring it. Anyone else got a story about someone learning that lesson the hard way out on the trails?

Saw a guy try that same thing at a creek crossing near Talladega. Ended up with water in his intake and a flooded engine. Love watching people learn the hard way.

Did y'all see that video floating around from a few months back where a guy tried to 'send it' through a mud pit and his winch cable snapped? That thing whipped back and took out his back window. Made me think about how sometimes the most expensive lesson is the one you walk away from with your pride hurt instead of your wallet. I had a buddy who used to say 'full throttle fixes everything' until his front diff grenaded on a rock shelf.
