Spent 6 months over-sharpening every deep sky shot, then found a basic histogram trick
My M31 image last Tuesday looked like a diamond knife, all crunchy stars and burned cores, and I couldn't figure out why. Turns out I was pushing the color saturation slider past 80% every time without checking the RGB histogram. Has anyone else wrecked a good galaxy stack with over-processing, or do you just go for the 'natural' look from raw captures?

Three years baking bread taught me the same lesson, patience beats punching everything up.
