Caught the Northern Lights over Lake Superior and my phone actually did it justice
Was up at Copper Harbor on Tuesday and the aurora hit KP 6 around 11 p.m., so my 3-second exposure on a $200 tripod came out sharper than my buddy's $2,000 rig, has anyone else found that shutter speed matters more than gear in these shots?

Tripod stiffness matters more than brand once the shutter's already open long enough.
