That $60 portable power station I bought for camping was a total scam

Bought this little battery pack off Amazon. Said it could run a mini fridge for 8 hours. Got 45 minutes before it died. Tried to return it but seller ghosted. Has anyone else gotten ripped off by those cheap power stations?

What brand was it exactly? I've seen a ton of those no-name brands on Amazon that claim crazy runtimes but they're just lying about the battery size. The math is usually way off. Like a mini fridge pulls maybe 50-60 watts an hour, so for 8 hours you'd need at least 400-500 watt hours. Those cheap boxes are maybe 100-150 watt hours tops. They know most people don't check the fine print. Did you look at the actual battery capacity in watt hours before you bought it, or just trust the ad?

You're way overthinking this, it's just a little power bank.
