Learned to read a hinge cut from a guy in Flagstaff, now I barely touch my saw
Twelve years back I dropped trees with a notch and a prayer, then a climber named Pete in Flagstaff spent 20 minutes showing me how to set a hinge so the tree falls where you want it. Now I do 90 percent of my felling with wedges and rope, saw barely runs. Anyone else switch to rope and wedges over the saw?
