The animation quality shift in season 2 of Vinland Saga was insane
I watched season 1 back in 2019 and the WIT Studio style was so crisp with all those action cuts. Then in 2023 Mappa took over and the whole show got this soft, painterly look that made the farm arc feel totally different. Does anyone else think the change actually made the story hit harder or was it just a downgrade from the old style?

Animation style changed, story still good. Not sure it matters that much.

Honestly, what specifically about the story makes it good enough to overlook the animation change for you? Like, is it the writing or the characters carrying it?
