Remember when you had to wait for the next anime club meeting to argue about a show?
I tried to get my nephew into older shows by showing him the first three episodes of 'Cowboy Bebop' last month. He just asked if the whole thing was in black and white and where the main character's special power was. I learned that the pacing and style we loved in the 90s feels totally foreign now. It's not just about the animation, but what people expect from a story. Has anyone else had a classic show completely miss with a younger viewer?

Ever try starting with a movie edit instead?

That's a solid idea. A good edit can show the whole vibe way faster than a trailer. What software do you like for cutting clips?

Honestly, I just use the free stuff because my edits are basically fancy slideshows. Wesley808 has a point about movie edits, but my last one made the film look way more exciting than it actually was. I stick to simple apps that don't have too many buttons to confuse me. It gets the job done even if the results are a bit rough. Maybe one day I'll learn a real program, but for now, my shaky cuts are my brand.
