That one rainy Tuesday where my paper planner saved my whole week
Last Tuesday was a disaster from the start. Woke up late, power flickered all morning, and my phone died around 10 AM. Had three appointments scheduled plus a grocery run that could not wait. Pulled out my bullet journal, the cheap spiral kind with graph paper. Found all my times and addresses written in pen from Sunday night. The library meeting, the pharmacy pickup, and a quick coffee with my sister. Got through every single stop without a panic. My sister laughed at me for using a notebook but I made it on time. Has anyone else had a whole day go smooth because of one analog backup like that?

My aunt swears by her daily planner and I finally get why - she never forgets a birthday or appointment, but I still lose my phone twice a week.

Wait is your aunt secretly my buddy Mike? He swears by his paper planner too but his system is wild. One time he left it at a diner and some lady mailed it back to him with a sticky note saying "you dropped this at table 7." Inside the planner he had a whole page dedicated to "emergency contact info" which was just his own phone number and a drawing of a sad face. He claims he's never lost a thing since he started using it but I've seen him spend 20 minutes looking for his car keys while holding them in his other hand.
