Saw a house on Carlisle with a sunroom floor that was totally wrong for the heat

Was over near UNM yesterday. Looked at a flip. They put in dark laminate in a south facing sunroom. Felt like a frying pan. My buddy who does tile said it was a rookie move. Anyone know a good material for a hot room like that?

Used to think tile was the only way to go for a hot sunroom. Then a friend used this light colored cork flooring in her place off Montgomery. It's crazy how much cooler it stays underfoot, even in the afternoon. Doesn't get that burning hot feel like tile or dark laminate can. Really changed my mind on what works in our climate.

Cork flooring proves old solutions often need a second look.
