Reading a 1990s alarm catalog and saw a motion sensor cost $450 back then
I was cleaning out my dad's old shop and found a dealer catalog from like '94. A basic PIR motion sensor had a list price of $450. Adjusted for inflation, that's wild compared to the $30 units we use now. Makes you think about how much profit was in just the hardware back in the day. Anyone else come across old pricing that made you do a double take?

Found a receipt for a 56k modem that cost more than my first car (which is saying something, it was a real junker).
