I keep seeing people spray oil directly into a hot air fryer basket... and it makes me think about how we used to just pour oil in a pan.

Oh man, that's a great way to start a small kitchen fire. You're supposed to spray the food, not the basket itself.

Wait, people actually spray the basket? What's the logic there, to make it non-stick? Seems like you'd just end up with a greasy mess and a weird smell.
