TIL my leaky basement window made a perfect watercolor painting on the concrete
The slow drip over a rainy week left these amazing rust and mineral stains that look like an abstract landscape. Has anyone else had something ugly turn beautiful like that?

Wait, a whole week? My basement would be a swimming pool by day two. That's some serious slow drip patience.

@susan350, a slow drip like that wouldn't fill a basement. It's about the total amount of water, not just the time. A week of a tiny drip might only fill a cup. The real problem is if a pipe has a bigger leak you don't notice. Then you get the swimming pool.

Honestly, how big of a drip are we even talking about here? A tiny drip from a faucet is one thing, but a steady stream from a supply line is totally different. Tbh, I feel like people throw around "slow drip" without saying what it really is. That's the whole point Felix was making, right? A real leak you don't see is the scary part, not some faucet you can hear.
