The way light hit a cracked windshield this morning looked like a painting

I was sitting in traffic on I-35 last Tuesday around 7:30 AM, not really paying attention. Then the sun came through this one crack in my windshield and cast this rainbow pattern across the dashboard. It looked exactly like a watercolor landscape with mountains and a river. Lasted maybe 2 minutes before I had to move. My buddy said I should have taken a picture but I just sat there watching it. Has anyone else noticed how trash during golden hour can look beautiful through the right lens?

And you know, that's the kind of thing you can't really capture with a phone anyway. The light changes so fast and the camera just flattens it into something ordinary. I had a similar moment once with frost on my bedroom window one winter morning, it looked just like a fern forest with tiny crystal leaves. Sometimes the best art is the stuff that's gone before you can even think to pull out your phone.

Sat there watching it too. Those moments hit different when you're stuck in traffic and not rushing anywhere. Honestly I've seen cracked windshields turn into straight up abstract art pieces with the right light. The phone never does it justice anyway.
