Spent 4 hours tracking down a 404 error on a 2006 Geocities page
I was trying to look up an old recipe for my mom's meatloaf that someone posted on a site back in 2006. Every link I clicked gave me a 404 error for about 3 hours. Turns out the site was still up but the host changed their file structure in 2012, so I had to manually guess the new path. Has anyone else run into broken archives like this from old recipe sites?

Nah. Four hours on a dead Geocities page? That's on you man. Should've just googled a newer recipe instead of digging through internet ruins.

Internet ruins" lol that's actually a good way to put it. But real talk, does anyone even bother checking the date on a recipe before they start cooking it?
