Just realized old fan sites are internet treasure troves
I used to ignore personal fan pages, seeing them as junk. Then I clicked on a GeoCities site for a niche cartoon from the late 90s. It had fan art and episode reviews that felt like a snapshot of that time. Now I spend an hour each week exploring these pages, and it's given me a real sense of web history.

My buddy found a fan page for that old show "Sliders" last month. He spent an entire afternoon just reading this one guy's episode rankings and rants about the later seasons. Said it felt more real than any wiki entry, like he'd dug up a time capsule of pure 90s internet passion.

Found a Geocities page a while back that ranked every "Sliders" world by how badly I'd want to live there. The guy wrote a full paragraph just trashing the dinosaur world for bad science. That old web design and pure anger over plot holes really does capture a specific moment.

I saw a fan page for that show "The Sentinel" that had a whole timeline of the main characters' friendship. The author used like six different neon fonts and it was amazing.
