Found an old FAA site that still updates crash data by hand

There's a guy at the FAA who manually enters general aviation accident reports into a site that looks like it was built in 1998. I was looking up a crash near Boise last week and found it's been running the same way since 2003 with no plans to change.

That 1998-era site probably has more job security than most government positions. I bet the manual entry process involves a guy named Frank who prints out the reports and types them in on a ThinkPad during his coffee break. The FAA will upgrade it right after they finish updating their air traffic control systems, so sometime around 2040.

So @scott.grace, you think my job is safe until 2040? Cool, I'll start planning my retirement around that.
