Found a forum post from 2003 that perfectly answers my 2024 question
Was digging through an old PHP help board last week trying to fix a date calculation bug in a project. Found a reply from someone named "webdev42" dated April 2003 that explained the exact issue I was having. The code examples still worked after 21 years and none of the newer forum threads came close to that clear of an answer. Has anyone else gotten better help from these abandoned sites than from modern Stack Overflow?

Stack Overflow's gotten so full of "duplicate" flags and people arguing over formatting that you can barely find the actual answer anymore. Really makes you wonder if all that moderation actually helps or just buries the good stuff.
