Checked a 2005 travel site for a trip to Savannah and the hotel prices are wild

I was looking at an old travel blog from 2005 that still has a page up for Savannah, Georgia. It lists a room at a historic inn for $89 a night, but that same place is over $300 now. What's the oldest travel site you've seen that's still online?

That GeoCities Olympics site is a perfect example. The idea of paying by fax feels like ancient history now. It's kind of sad in a way, seeing how simple and hopeful that old web felt. Finding those old pages is like digital archaeology.

Remember that old GeoCities site for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics? I found it a few years back and it was a total time capsule, with pixel art and directions to pay by fax. It's STILL up, which is just mind blowing.

Totally get that feeling. It's wild how much the internet has changed.
