Hit 500 hand-coded HTML pages today and wow

I was cleaning out my old Geocities folder and realized I had 500 pages I wrote by hand from 1996 to 1999. Each one had terrible tables, blinking text, and a guestbook link at the bottom. Does anyone else still have their old site files saved somewhere?

Did you ever accidentally delete one and regret it for years? I had a whole folder of mid-90s HTML sites I made for my band. Honestly, looking back it was so cringey but also kind of cool because I learned HTML that way, you know? Tbh I think I still have an old CD-R with some of those pages on it somewhere. Ngl, the guestbook links and the hit counters were the best part. They had a certain charm that modern sites just can't match.

Bro I feel that SO hard. I once "cleaned up" my old hard drive and trashed a folder of GeoCities sites I spent like a whole summer building. Found out years later there was NO backup and now I just have to live with the memory of those awful animated gifs and neon text.
