Am I the only one who prefers hand-coding HTML over using Dreamweaver?
I started building sites in 1996 with just Notepad and a book on HTML tags. Everyone I know switched to Dreamweaver around 1999 because it was faster with the drag and drop stuff. But I stuck with hand-coding because I could control every single pixel and table cell without the program guessing wrong. The layouts I see from old Dreamweaver sites often break on different browsers while my manual code is still readable today. Has anyone else ditched the wysiwyg editors and gone back to the source code?

Nah, I used to think Dreamweaver users were just lazy. But a buddy showed me how he used it just for the initial layout then hand-tweaked everything, and honestly the results were solid. Made me realize the tool doesn't matter as much as knowing your code inside and out.

Honestly, it's not that deep - whatever gets the job done works fine. Dreamweaver was just a tool, not a lifestyle choice.
