Why does nobody talk about the Netscape vs Internet Explorer browser wars?
Honestly, I was digging through old floppy disks and found my Netscape Navigator 3.0 installer. Tbh, using that felt so much cleaner than Internet Explorer 4.0, which just felt slow and clunky. The difference was Netscape had proper bookmarks and didn't crash every time a page had a Java applet. Ngl, I miss that little ship icon. Anyone else have a strong preference back then, or was it just my family's computer?

You mentioned the ship icon. I read an article that called it the most recognizable logo of the early web.
