Finally got my old Geocities page back after 3 days of fighting the Wayback Machine

So my buddy dared me to find the Angelfire page I made in 1997 about my dog and my bootleg Sonic fanart. I figured it would take like 20 minutes, but nope. The Wayback Machine kept giving me error pages or just loading a blank white screen. Turns out the site had a frameset that was broken, and I had to manually dig through the archived files one by one to rebuild the links. After about 3 days of clicking through cached copies, I finally got the full page loaded with all 14 of my terrible MS Paint drawings and the midi file of the Mortal Kombat theme that played on loop. My dog was 11 then, he's long gone now, but seeing his pixelated photo on that awful purple background hit me right in the feels. Anyone else managed to resurrect an old page from an uncooperative archive? How long did it take you?

Wait, did you actually save the original files or just rely on cached copies the whole time?
