inAfter a botched pattern, I'm all in on laser guides
How did you even get past the first few tiles without seeing the problem? I can't believe someone would try to eyeball spacers on herringbone, that's just asking for trouble. Like @kevin_roberts41 said, once that wavy edge starts, it just gets worse and worse. You have to tear things out and start over, which wastes so much time and material. Laser guides are not just helpful, they're a must-have for any serious tile work. Why would anyone risk ruining a whole job to save a few minutes setting up a laser?

inLooking for a plain desk lamp left me stuck in review hell
Yeah, users not pushing products makes all the difference. I fell for a sponsored review once and my blender caught fire, so now I'm paranoid about every purchase.

inI thought running dry was risky for hobby cuts, but a buddy's engraving job proved me wrong
Same here, slow passes changed everything for dry engraving.

inFixing a wobbly kitchen drawer made mudding feel like art to me
Ever notice how mudding feels like sanding wood, just a calm, slow rhythm?

inDrove all the way to Austin for a famous pitmaster's joint and their brisket was dry as cardboard, fight me
Totally agree with @jade_butler2 on asking for the point end. That fat cap does wonders for keeping things juicy, especially if they let it rest properly. Rush job brisket is always a gamble though.
