This fiberglass itch is driving me crazy

After a long day in attics with fiberglass batts, my arms and neck are on fire. I wear long sleeves and gloves, but it still finds a way in, and scratching just makes it worse. Any tips from seasoned installers on how to prevent or soothe this itch?

Honestly saw a tip online once about taking a cold shower first thing when you get home, no hot water at all. Something about cold closing your pores so the fibers can't dig in as deep. Tbh I've also heard rubbing talcum powder on your skin before you suit up can help, like it fills in the gaps. Ngl though, sometimes you just gotta suffer through it and slather on that calamine lotion after.

Ugh, genius. I always skip to the suffering part and just coat myself in pink lotion like a messed-up donut.

Tried @quinn353's cold shower trick once and still ended up itchy... guess my pores were just too eager to hug the fibers. My forearms look like a pink leopard print experiment gone wrong.
