TIL how to pick a reliable smart scale from online reviews
I've been trying to get fit and needed a smart scale that actually works. The reviews were all over the place, with some saying a scale was great and others calling it junk. I spent a weekend reading through user comments on different shopping sites and tech forums. I learned to look for people who talked about using the scale for a while, not just out of the box. One model had lots of folks saying it matched their gym scale numbers every time. I got that one, and now my weight tracking feels really accurate. This little success taught me to trust repeated user experiences over flashy ads.

Yeah that bit about looking for consistency totally tracks. My friend bought one based on slick ads and it gave different numbers each morning, broke in like a month. @the_wren's method is way smarter.

Same with my food scale, I only trusted the reviews where people checked it against their doctor's office numbers for a few months. That consistency thing is way more telling than the first impressions.
