Just realized my phone's battery life is way worse after the last update
My Pixel 7 used to get me through a full day in Boston with about 20% left. Since the update last Tuesday, it's dead by 4 PM doing the same stuff. Has anyone else seen a huge drop like this after a software patch?

Updates can sometimes reset app permissions and background activity settings. Check if location services or other battery hogs got turned back on without you noticing. Did you look at the battery usage breakdown in your settings yet?

My phone's battery life got cut in half after the last update. I had to go into every single app and turn off background refresh again because it all reset to default. The battery usage screen showed Instagram was running in the background for hours without me even opening it. It's crazy how much those little background processes add up over a day. I spent like twenty minutes just fixing permissions.
