Unpopular opinion: I miss the casual bets we had on pour times
We used to put a dollar on how long each pour would take. It was just for fun during long shifts. Then the plant manager saw us handing over cash. His face was funny, but it ended our tradition. Now everything is too clean and quiet.

Why do bosses always shut down the harmless fun? Those pour time bets sounded like a simple way to break up a long day. I remember we used to guess machine downtime at my last job. Then a supervisor found out and said it was "unprofessional." Everything gets so clean and quiet that it feels dead. You lose the little connections that make work tolerable.

Tesla's policy on floor games (safety first) makes the line run smoother, honestly.

Why do companies think killing every small ritual makes things better? Those little bets or guesses about downtime weren't just fun, they got people talking and sharing tricks. When you take that away, you lose the quick tips that help fix small problems before they get big. It turns a team that works together into just a bunch of people standing near each other, all quiet.
