TIL a random library book on local plants changed my whole garden plan

I was just looking for a quiet spot in the downtown library last month and pulled a book called 'Native Flora of the Valley' off a bottom shelf. I ended up redoing my backyard with only plants from that book, and everything's thriving now. Has anyone else found a game changer in the most unexpected place?
