I've been using the wrong search terms for my local history project this whole time.

Remember when I spent weeks looking up "old mills" instead of "historic gristmills" lol.

I mean, is it really that big of a deal though? Like, if you search "old mills" for a few weeks you're still gonna stumble across the same stuff eventually, right? The internet isn't going anywhere. Maybe spending that extra time sort of forces you to learn more about the topic as you dig through all the wrong results. I kind of like the messy detective work sometimes instead of getting the perfect answer in two clicks. Feels more rewarding when you finally figure out the right word on your own.

Ugh that's the worst feeling. I got stuck for DAYS looking for "old farm tools" before someone told me to try "antique agricultural implements." The right search terms make ALL the difference. Now I always try a few different word combos right at the start. It saves so much time and frustration.
