Floor squeaks driving me CRAZY on this latest project.

I checked all the fasteners but the noise WON'T stop. Is there a secret trick I'm missing?

What type of flooring material are you working with in this project. Different materials like engineered wood or laminate have unique causes for squeaks beyond loose fasteners. Pinpointing the base layer could show if there is movement between the subfloor and underlayment.

That point about movement between layers is so true... I had a laminate floor that squeaked like crazy over a concrete slab. The underpad had worn down in one high traffic spot and the boards were rubbing. A little powdered graphite in the joint fixed it right up.
