That week in March when the 7% mortgage rate finally broke me

I had my eye on a small condo in Tacoma and was ready to make an offer, but the monthly payment jumped $400 overnight when the rates went up. It felt like the goalposts moved right as I was about to kick. Has anyone else had to walk away from a place they loved just because of the monthly number?

Remember that rate hike was in March of last year, not this year. It still stings though.

Ugh you're right about it being last March, time flies but the pain is fresh. My mortgage payment jumped like 200 bucks and it never went back down. Feels like they just pocket that extra money forever. Really makes you feel stuck.
