Just finished my 100th roll of film, and it was all the same brand
I was cleaning out a drawer and lined up all my little yellow canisters, realizing every single one was Kodak Gold 200, from that first roll in my dad's old Pentax to the one I shot last week at the pier. It wasn't a conscious choice, just a habit formed from liking the colors and sticking with what felt familiar. Has anyone else ever looked back and seen a pattern in their film stock they didn't plan?

Oh wow, that's so cool to see laid out like that. I totally get sticking with what works, it just becomes your thing without you even trying. There's something really nice about that kind of quiet habit.

Yeah exactly, it's like the habit finds you more than you find it. But I wouldn't call it quiet, not really. It's more like a background hum that actually shapes a lot of your other choices without being loud about it. That's the part I find so interesting.
