Ripped out 6 hours of stitching after a bobbin tension fail

I was at my sewing table in my apartment in Austin last Thursday, working on a denim jacket. Got through the entire sleeve and side panel before I noticed the top thread was looping underneath like crazy. Happened because I forgot to re-tighten the bobbin case after cleaning it. Had to rip out every single seam and redo it from scratch. Anyone else had a bobbin tension issue ruin a whole day of work?

Did you use a seam ripper or just scissors for all that? I've done similar with denim and it's brutal on the hands. That looping mess is the worst, especially after hours of work.

Oh man, I used to swear by just scissors for everything but this definitely changed my mind. Tried a seam ripper on some old jeans last week and it was way easier on my hands, especially with all that tangled thread. I mean, it still takes forever but at least your fingers don't cramp up as bad.
